Galeries Lafayette looked to integrate a ‘click and collect’ omni-channel strategy taking a ‘web-to-store’ approach.
Solution:
BIXOLON SPP-R200IIIiKL, a 2-inch (58mm) Bluetooth mobile receipt printer used with linerless adhesive media
Bluebird Soft EF500 touch mobile computer (PDA) working in conjunction with Proximis software with SOTI MobiControl
Results:
The E-reservation and click and collect solution has been rolled out across the entire Galeries Lafayette and BHV Marais network of 60 stores in one month.
The process has enabled click and collect services to handle several hundred parcels per store at peak times and allow product reservations to be easily picked and shared with the customer to try and buy.
Customer items are easily picked instore, scanned by the PDA and issued with a printed ticket from a BIXOLON mobile printer which is attached to the items for easy identification and pickup.
The technology solution has enabled fast and reliable e-reservation service and serves the click and collect service directly with the customer. By revising the logistics process, it has delivered more value to the consumer.
